Exploring Self-Healing Tools for Rehabilitating our Nervous Systems

Greetings everyone, welcome to my latest post.

How are you all feeling as we prepare to welcome another summer season on Cape Cod? I much prefer autumn and the different pace that it offers. It is still a very healing place, even when the summer chaotic energy arrives. I prepare for it, do you?

I have heard from so many of you on your healing journey and the bright awakening results are so magnificent. I'm truly proud to be witness to the strength you've shown in building capacity to overcome your stressors. Kudos to you all. Thank you for your updates, please keep them coming.

People always ask me, "What are you up to now?” These questions sometimes come with a dose of judgement. I see my continued education as necessary growth. My development is my priority. Refining my skills better serves my quality of life and offers a healthy ripple effect to my clients.

When I began this exciting education into Applied Neurology and Somatic Practices, I knew it would trigger emotions that perhaps were not fully processed. It identified past traumas that still needed healing work. That is normal for anyone, but especially someone who is extremely self-aware. The deep dive into the functions of the brain is intense. Recognizing the nuances of our behaviors fascinates me in my pursuit of this coaching modality.

Neurosomatic Intelligence is a trauma informed coaching certification program. It is ICF Certified. In the coaching world that means the course is scrutinized and approved by the International Coaching Federation. It is offered to therapists and coaches who want to integrate neurosomatics into their existing practice.

I have been my own first case study. Just like with my training in clinical hypnotherapy, I began with myself and have moved into client trials. For all of us it has been a slowly built layered approach to expanding our emotional bandwidth to navigate stressors with greater stability and confidence.

I was able to gradually increase my tolerance for the stressors that were most prevalent in my life. This takes time and commitment. It has been worth every minute to be able to choose a daily practice to support my nervous system and avoid old patterns that seemed impossible to replace before now.

When people ask me, "How do you find the time?” I respond with a reminder of how passionate I am about education and healing. With the gap in my routine after my dog Sasha died it was an opportunity to nourish my body, mind and soul with valuable tools for healing. The timing was divine and the scholarship was generous.

I'm filled with gratitude for the trainers and members of my cohort. We are just a few months from our final exam. The Neurosomatic Intelligence Coaching Program is grounded in cultivating resilience through adaptive coping strategies and self-regulation skills. What does that mean to you?

It means I'm now weaving brain-based science tools into my coaching and energy healing offerings. These powerful tools support adaptation, confidence building and the ability to thrive after adversity. These are daily practices. They involve physical tools for all senses. Rehabilitating your nervous system is part of trauma recovery. For anyone who doesn't relate to the need for trauma recovery, consider it building capacity for everyday stress and long-term resilience. It is a practice for all ages, not just those who have lived through decades of life experiences.

Please reach out to ask me anything. I honor a complimentary call to explore any of my offerings. The use of neuro-somatic tools, essential oils, CBD and other self-healing methods is a perfect way to take charge of your health and emotional wellbeing. We can sandwich these into any session, or they can be a stand-alone consultation.

I'll leave you with another new "Self-Audit"

Please ask yourself, "What are my biggest stress triggers?” Ex. Confrontation-Judgement- Overcommitment. Now ask yourself, "Which behavior do I perform as a result of a stress trigger?” And finally, ask yourself, "Am I ready to replace this pattern with a new output that will nourish me?”

Ex. Old Pattern: If I'm overcommitted, I default to eating on the go while multitasking. My body responds to the intake and creates discomfort.

Ex. New Pattern: When I manage my time with better boundaries, I can slow down and mindfully take in the right foods for my body. I feel balanced, calm and truly nourished. This helps my capacity to do everything I want with ease and optimal results.

With grace and gratitude, till we meet again.

-Kristine
